Why this work existsHolding Space was not created from theory.
It was created from living it.
From becoming the one people depend on. From navigating decisions you were never prepared to make. From carrying responsibility that doesn’t turn off.
And from realizing how little space there is for the caregiver to be seen, to process, to breathe.
This work exists for the person who stepped into this role out of love and is still figuring out how to hold it all.
A caregiver, writer,
and speaker.
Deidra Jackson is a storyteller, wife, and mother who balances being a fast-paced corporate executive by day with being a loving daughter and caregiver by heart.
She is the author of Holding Space — a 32-page memoir about becoming a life-sustaining caretaker for her father, an Air Force Vietnam veteran.
Her keynote, The Long Middle, opens: "Nobody told me about the long middle."
“If you are in this season — this space was created with you in mind. And if you support caregivers — this work can meet your audience where they are.”
